Code of Conduct

Security Meetup is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone. All participants – whether attending events, contributing content, volunteering, or collaborating – are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.

This Code of Conduct applies to in-person events, online interactions, and all official Security Meetup platforms.

1 Code of Conduct
1.1 Our Commitment

Security Meetup exists to strengthen the cybersecurity community through openness, neutrality, and knowledge-sharing. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all backgrounds, experience levels, identities, and perspectives.

1.2 Expected Behaviour

Participants are expected to: 

  • Treat others with respect and professionalism 

  • Be mindful of inclusive language 

  • Respect differing opinions 

  • Follow event guidelines and instructions from organisers

1.3 Unacceptable Behaviour

The following behaviour is not tolerated:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or exclusionary conduct 

  • Intimidation, bullying, or aggressive behaviour 

  • Hate speech or derogatory language 

  • Unwanted physical contact or sexualised behaviour 

  • Disruptive conduct that undermines the event or community 

  • Political, religious, or commercial advocacy unrelated to the event purpose 

  • Unauthorised marketing, sales activity, or recruitment pushing

2 Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact the organiser or reach out directly to:

All reports will be handled with discretion and seriousness.

3 Photography and Media

Photography and video recording may take place during Security Meetup events. Material may be used for communication and promotion of Security Meetup, including on social media and official channels. If you do not wish to appear in photos or recordings, please inform the organiser upon arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.

4 Consequences

Security Meetup reserves the right to: 

  • Issue warnings 

  • Remove individuals from an event

  • Restrict participation in future activities

These actions are taken to protect the safety, trust, and integrity of the community. Decisions regarding enforcement are final.
